Hi jjae,
Your posts always make me think, ‘Oh my god, I can’t wait to have my own kitchen so I can cook and experiment in peace without neurotic old landladies to ask me what am I doing and her fat stupid cats sleeping on top of the appliances and shedding their stupid cat fur on every available surface—’
Your recipes always seem amazing and your food photos are close to pornographic. You’re living my dream. Please write a cookbook.
Sincerely,
yael

Roasted butternut squash ravioli with sage brown butter sauce (unpictured: steak)
I was in the mood for a “Fall” dinner.
- Filling: butternut squash, sweet potato, spinach, garlic, onion, and a touch of sage, cinnamon, nutmeg and cayenne pepper (I like the heat!).
- I used wonton wrappers because I was not in the mood to make my own pasta. Maybe next time. Semi-homemade! No … shut up, Sandra Lee.
- It’s topped with a sage brown butter sauce, fried sweet potato strips, cranberries and parsley.
- Of course, there’s steak.
Beverage: Köstritzer Oktoberfest Beer
Joel was wondering what the special occasion was. There isn’t any. We’re over the hump, the Autumn chill has finally hit the air, and the Tigers are playing their biggest and most important game since the 2006 World Series. And Glee is on tonight. But even without all that, every day can be a special day with food. =)
