Without a doubt, the best part about my new spot in the Central Richmond is the LOCATION.
These are just a few of the places in walking distance from my little (as yet undecorated) room.
Bazaar Cafe - a regular haunt of extra-credit seeking folks from the USF English department, where current and/or former students host events over the course of the school year. I’ve only been to one of these events so far, and that was in my freshman year; my new proximity might inspire me to show up more often.
Kitaro - another place I haven’t been back to since freshman year. But it’s right there, for when I feel like having mediocre sushi for dirt cheap.
Hot in the Pot - decent dim sum, haven’t tried the actual hot pot/shabu shabu yet.
Javacat - has free wifi, a pretty good hot chocolate, and is on this list mostly for sentimental reasons even though it’s not a place I really frequent.
Video Cafe - they’re down the street from me and open 24 hours. For when I want to watch Cliffhanger or Air Force One over pancakes at midnight.
On Track Cleaners - once again, I’m within laundry-bag carrying distance from a branch of OTC; last year, I lived one block away from their branch on Balboa and 6th. Lucky me, as I’ve been thoroughly spoiled by their wash-and-fold service (cheap already, made cheaper by my student discount).
Cards and Comics Central - I live near a comic shop! YAY.
